2025 Grocery Outlet [California, Oregon, Washington, etc., etc.]

According to “BargainWhine” at GrossOutWine, without confirmation, the Fall 2025 20% Wine Sale runs Nov 3 -11, with the discount for the first 2 days limited to app users.

What I was told this morning is that the fall sale will be Nov 3 – 11, with the first two days being only for those who have the GO app. I was hoping that it would be another sale where you’d get a larger discount if you have the app, but you’d still get 20% off without the app, but it seems like that won’t be the case in this sale. I’d love for others to get confirmation of these details, though.

For the past few weeks I have found almost nothing of interest for me at Oakland Grocery Outlet and will be cutting back visits to only those times when I’m in the neighborhood and know that they might have some items to stock up on using the 10% Tuesday Senior Discount.

Otherwise, I’ve chosen to take a long bus ride to the Richmond CA store at San Pablo Av and MacDonald which is larger, has a wider, more interesting selection.

Richmond Grocery Outlet at San Pablo and MacDonald recently. This is an independently-owned store while Oakland is owned by the GO Corporation.

$7.99 (before sale price)/750ml - I tried the Prager 2014 Petite Sirah, Napa Valley, 14.5% ABV, dense, structured, could use a few hours of air to bring out the dark berry, cinnamon, baking spice, anise, tobacco, cigar box notes. Will get some more.

Here are some comments from GrossoutWine on the 20% Fall Wine Sale at GO through Nov. 11

The McGintys, who own the McMinnville Grocery Outlet, tried to offer a 10% discount to all SNAP recipients whose food-assistance money had been frozen. But when the feds told them no, they came up with a go-around: Extending the offer to all customers.

“Now there’s a catch to it, and I need your help as a community,” Mike McGinty announced in an Oct. 31 video posted to Facebook. “If you do not need a discount, please do not ask for it.”

But if you do, “Take it. Ask for it.”

I don’t need it, but God bless them for trying.

Tomorrow, Tuesday November 11 is the last day of the Fall 20% Wine Sale.

Also, tomorrow Nov 11 is the regular Senior (60 and over) 10% off discount at Oakland Grocery Outlet on everything. The wine and senior discounts are both applied on wine but one after the other so the effective discount is 28% (not 30%). Trust me, I did the math.

There might be some other GOs with senior discounts but I don’t know which ones they are or which days.

j. wilkes, pinot blanc (Santa Barbara, 2021) $8 (w/o discount)

picked up a case of this Pinot Blanc during the sale. along with the tartness there is some subtle oak that is well integrated. versatile in food pairing. i thought this a steal. would buy another at the non-sale price.
