After enjoying a good night’s sleep, we trekked out at 7.00 am in the morning to the famed ’ Sihai Soy Milk ', in the hope of avoiding the early morning breakfast rush. Well, I guess we were wrong since the place was already packed!!
Serving some of the best, savory, hot soy bean milk in Taipei. There’s simply nothing remotely close to that quality and authenticity here in the GTA!
The entire spread of food on the table, including XLB with yummy broth and well seasoned pork filling; Scallion, egg pancakes; steamed vegetable bun; Turnip cakes; Hot, sweet and savory soy milk…etc all cost less than CAD$10
. Those soy milk!..so flavorful and dense! Wow!!
Afterwards, we walked back to our hotel for some more needed rest. On the way, we noticed food stalls and markets serving yummy local Taiwanese marinated meats and street foods were already opened for business!..we shall return!!
