I’m going to try to head up to Sonoma for that. Those fires were heartbreaking, and I’ve had many wonderful times there. I hope many people will go and support the local restaurants and wineries.
Any interesting restaurant week menus/ good deals anyone have come across so far?

The Reem’s and Navi Kitchen restaurant week menus look pretty good.
Navi Kitchen has the best $10 lunch during Oakland Restaurant Week, ends January 21…we went home with leftovers for dinner.
Two of us arrived at noon to taste Preeti’s Peppah, Pav Bhaji, Love Veggie, and Grateful Guju.
These are delicious pizzas, regularly priced $19 and $20. We’ll return again at full-price…for more.
Chef Mistry is making magic.
Most fun SF eats…$15 lunch at Ichi Restaurant at 3369 Mission Street. No lunch reservation- just walk-in.
If food makes you giggle with delight and a sense of humor takes you beyond expectations, this lunch combo of potato salad, Maki, and your choice of a Japanese hot dog with snap dressed with mapo, curry, kimchi, or okonomiyaki will certainly be a happy place for SF Restaurant Week…ends January 31.
thanx for the tip cs We managed to make it there at 2:00 pm yesterday with our kids and ordered the 4 dogs and 4 different types of maki.
Overall a great lunch, with really nice service at a great price point. Everything was great, except for the curry dog (the curry was not very japanesy, seemed to have a bit too much turmeric in it). the mapo tofu dog was surprisingly good
the kids enjoyed their meal
Here are some more pictures of Gratitude Guju and Love Veggie pizza during Restaurant Week at Navi Kitchen. Preeti Mistry was in the kitchen herself making pizza and she served the Veggie to a solo diner who was my table mate at a picnic table on the deck outside. It’s a 3-minute slideshow with music:
