Stale croissants etc

May be a bit too basic and teenage but I will prob try it out😁
Anyone already tried this?

I haven’t tried that recipe, but it seems to produce something similar to feuilletine, which is great for using in entremets and other layered desserts, so I think it’s a great idea. My favorite thing to do with stale croissants is almond croissants, and with brioche its equivalent Bostock. Also great are of course ham and cheese croissants.
I dislike croissant French toast and bread pudding. :joy:

Bread & butter pudding is a classic British dessert (earliest printed recipe in 1728). It usually uses normal bread but I’ve seen recipes using croissants.

Of course, that’s only going to work if you like bread & butter pudding. I don’t. There’s just something about the texture that I dont enjoy.

Could make a savoury bread pudding or strata, too, for those who don’t mind the texture.

I just watched Jacque Pepin making a Brown Betty from stale leftover croissants etc.
