Mt Vernon WA - Korean bbq

When you guys are travelling north of Seattle, perhaps to VAN, please note a quite tasty Korean bbq in Mt Vernon exit 232ish on the hwy, called Pyung Chang. I think it’s been there a little while. I learned about it reading yelp reviews on a new Korean bbq in Bellingham (my town), and people saying, it’s ok but go to the one in Mt Vernon - it’s better. We tried it a week ago coming back from the Coupeville ferry. Kimchi pancake, spicy pork, bulgogi, and hot stone bibimbap were all ordered. Lots of banchan too. Everything was super tasty, and as lovers of this cuisine, we’ve been up a creek since Stone Pot closed a couple years ago (effectively, although formally it just merged with a bad Japanese place in town, and became equally bad). So now we don’t need to shlep to Seattle to get Kbbq, which is great for us! You can have them cook, or you can cook. Choose your table as you arrive. Cooking things yourself, ironically, is more expensive…
