Ganache for the lazy

I’m trying to use up the contents of my cupboards before shopping for anything but fresh ingredients. When I see the expiry dates on some of the cans and boxes, I realize that although I am WAY past them, there may come a time when food does become dangerous. I had some plain graham crackers but wanted something a bit sweeter. The only baking chocolate on hand was too dark, but I did have the TJ’s truffles in the red box. I placed a pan of crackers, each topped with a half of a truffle, atop a radiator. In ten minutes, the truffles spread easily. When they cooled to room temp, the truffle spread had a lovely sheen and though solid enough not to smear, remained semisoft to the bite.

Hey, that is really a brilliant way of handling that! Love it!
