What are prices looking like for folks now? I got an 2+ lb-er for $8.99/lb at Wing Hing Supermarket on Clement St in SF yesterday (1/1).

I guess local crabs are in. Reports yesterday said given rough weather might be the end of the week before local crabs show up…but that’s not the case. Before Dec, 31, prices were $13.99/lb, which I figured were from Alaska.

In any case, I walked by Yuet Sun and Green Fish Seafood today in Oakland Chinatown, $7.99/lb but looked really small. I passed. Closed today, but I usually check Sincere Seafood in Swan’s/Housewives Market.

Are those local? Because many markets have had live crabs from Washington and Oregon for a while.
