Bloomstock coffee & waffles (SF Bayview)

In the spirit of Trouble Coffee, which formerly occupied the space and was known for toast, Bloomstock owner, Ross, carves his bready niche with waffles. His Belgian style waffles, unlike those at Blue Bottle or Linea back in the day, are made to order from several sweet and savory batters. Butterscotch and banana was very good, stable crisp structure, not overly buttered, and not overly sweet. Current menu also has a vegan churros flavored waffle, jalapeño and cheese, apple spice, and a mozzarella.

The small shop on Yosemite Ave, just off of Third St. , is a good stop for coffee in Bayview, and also a convenient detour off of the 101.

Caleb Pershan covered them on Eater.

Note that they are closed on Mondays, and do not have a restroom. Nearby Craftsmen and Wolves the Den also lacks a restroom, And I’ve found the McDonald’s on third Street to be the best bet for a pitstop.
