What is American cheese, that sliced stuff? (And yes, I know that many fine cheeses are made in the US now).
We never put milk in coffee in my family…
Dufresne is a very common surname in Québec, but he must be among the many Québécois (and Acadians) whose ancestors emigrated to New England.
yes. it’s totally bland and filled with melting salts that make it go all gooey when it’s heated. I’ve always loved the stuff. One of my favorite lowbrow foods.

I’m lactose-intolerant, so that is a VERY bad cheese for me.
ah, well. if you didn’t grow up eating it, you’d probably hate it anyway!

Yes, it certainly existed here, but my mother thought it was disgusting.
On the other hand, I LOVE fish and chips!
