Where to eat in Sicily?

Well, it’s now been an additional 3-4 years since I wrote the post upthread, so take this for the 8 years old ideas that it now is. For dinners, I remember liking Buotta https://www.buattapalermo.it/en/sicilian-tradition-menu/ quite a bit & I’m pretty sure that I enjoyed the food at Gagini (& certainly the room) https://www.gaginirestaurant.com/en/ as well. The view at Seven rooftop restaurant (https://sevenrestaurantpalermo.it/en/) was the draw, but I remember the food being fine.
For lunch, I really recommend the outdoor markets. The one I wrote about upthread was the Ballaro Market. And, since its now years later and several other HO posters have spent more time there, I’d look at posts from a couple of years ago, like Palermo recommendations? - #30 by LulusMom1 (it gets most relevant to your question at post #30) & re-check Ziggy’s blog.
Of course, since you’re in Bklyn, you might be bold enough to go to Joe’s of Ave U & chat up the owner (I think they’re from Palermo) for recommendations/referrals.
