That was pre Taurus bass pedals.

Went to the Lou Reed exhibit & listening room at the NY Public Library at Lincoln Center yesterday. Lots of good stuff that brought back memories, some good music being played &, of course, lots of less than good as well 
. Overall, worth going to. Need to devote some time and maybe take a look at the playlist to determine when to go.

So, admittedly, I’m ever faithful to the Dead & “Morning Dew” is forever a Garcia thing in my head. However, I saw the Jeff Beck Group w/Rod Stewart on vocals several times outdoors in Central Park back when & I gotta say that recordings don’t do them justice. In context of the times, they were a live powerhouse, right up there with Led Z. doing their first album.

wow that’s cool. You guys are old lol! I was lucky enough to see Jerry a dozen or so times.
We were able to see Rod and Jeff Beck at the Hollywood Bowl play that in 2019. I gotta tip my hat to these dinosaurs that still have the chops (even Rod mostly). I would really love to see Rod and Ron Wood get back for a show but Ron has a pretty solid job already.
I’m envious.
I saw one of the Ronnie Lane shows at the Cow Palace with Jeff, Jimmy, and Eric and assorted others.
Jeff was literally in another universe than his Yardbird brothers, soaring on waves of energy and sound.

Got bored with spotify’s algorithm, hearing a lot of the same songs all over. So I went back to listening to one of my favourite albums from start to finish. Nice way to end the year and start 2023.
