Well, depending on your age, “in my life” changes things. Some kids may not know your reference points and I might think that your two would be challenged by a Frank Sinatra addition.

Like with Bruce, I couldn’t even begin to choose. Really depends on my mood. What I can say is that he’s one of those rare singers who is able to convey the meaning & sentiments of the lyrics and not let his voice become the overwhelming focus of the song. Which is why it depends on my mood and not just on my desire to hear his voice.

As kids our middle school had a discount ski program at a crappy little mountain in massachusetts, still we loved it, didn’t know any better we had rental gear, some kids wore jean jackets, we went fast had a great time. There were the girls/crushes. Pac-man. hot cocoa. there was also music piped out over the mountain and base area, and a favorite of the operator there was
different than other frank fan’s memories, but this is the one i like best and takes me away to a happy place!
my father in law is a huge frank fan and since i got into jazz and stuff later in life i know more…
i also love the scene in spinal tap where bruno kirby says frank calls the shots for all those guys…
