Western/northern Boston burbs 2024s Fall foodie events

Aha, that is where we met! That meetup bonded me to the folks here. Hope that you are enjoying your VT life tremendously.

Wow, thanks for mentioning Scott Farm! Looks amazing in so many ways, the stone walls and the historic lodging/Rudyard Kipling connection, and of course the antique apples and the cafe and farm store.

We are hoping to stay at Viking Villages in Guilford soon and Scott Farm is about 30 minutes away. Do you have any advice for other orchards/farm stores/restaurants around there and Brattleboro?

So different from the North Shore…I. hope you are happy there!

This place looks like a hoot—never heard of it. Please report back if you go.

Oh, I will! The online reviews are all excellent, so we’ll see.

Young adult son has loved mythology and folklore of all kinds since we adopted him at age 7. He started with Greek and Roman and rapidly progressed to various Asian, African, Native American, and other European traditions. He’s writing his third novel now, a combination of Welsh and Nordic myth/folklore, and he was fascinated with Vikings when I first met him. There were women Vikings!

I’m hoping a brief 3 night trip before peak leaf season will inspire a return to that region of Vermont, after the leaf season ends. We want to spend some time in dark sky places that are within reasonable driving distances from Boston.
