VALENCIA AND DENIA...November?

Great News!
I booked Napocol on a Sunday for comida.
Partner will be gong along with me.
Do you think back to back lunches at Napicol and Ca Pepico are too much alike for us outsiders to take in on subsequent days? (Remember I am relegated to sharing non-seafood rice dishes.

I had planned Casa Montana for the lone Saturday night but I can fit that in another night if we end up at Ca Pepico for lunch on that Saturday. Or I. can fit CM in alone during the week we are in the city…

I think there are some similarities but Napicol has a more refined feel and Ca Pepico is a bit less formal. Both have a strong focus on seafood so dishes may be limited. At Pepico, get the cod croquetas for yourself and the stew croquetas for your partner.

My advice for rice days, based on our diez arroces en diez dias in 2015:

  1. As limited a breakfast as possible (or skip it if you can)
  2. Don’t order more than 1 dish or 1-2 half-portions to share before the rice. We usually get fresh seafood but that might not work for your partner.
  3. Revise the bread and eat only light dessert like a sorbet or small flan ( or skip it all together)
  4. At night, don’t do more than 2-3 tapas or media-raciones to share at a place like Casa Montana
  5. If you go for day 2 of rice, eat no breakfast on morning of.
