USA Trip Report May 2016

You mean “Pork Brain Sandwich”, right?

Not me though. I’ll have the tenderloin. You can have (what’s left of) my brain!

Welcome back Bruce. You’ve been sorely missed.

I’d never heard of that one; I’ll stick to the PTL, too.

I got away from posting for a couple of weeks and discovered I didn’t miss it. I’m feeling a bit re-energized, though. You and Lambowner have done an amazing job keeping the board active. Thanks.

My grandparents loved brains and eggs.
He loved brain sandwiches too, which, if memory serves me, are soaked in milk first.
When the stockyards were still open in KC, we had lots of organs and parts on menus.
You can still get pig snout and pig ear sandwiches.

How about you?

Or is it a couple of generations removed for you…

Like it is for me?

A definite no. Sometimes gizzards, but I only have one gas station that makes em, for reasons that escape me, since we have no fried chicken culture in Southern Oregon.
