lol. that is our debate now! Keep the place in LA and eventually buy a small place in NYC or sell the LA home and just make NYC our home base. Main reason being can we tolerate NYC winters

I know, but the round slice sounded so good… That said, the pepperoni square was mind blowingly good. A tad salty for me, but that was the only quibble.
We have a friend who has done this. Main base is LA. Daughters went to college in the east so they bought an apartment on the east side. That works for them. The couple both work for firms that have NYC and LA offices so they can work wherever. Even more so these days. If your finances would allow it, it’s a great way to go. That way you avoid the worst weather in NYC and can pick when to come.
