For us Noci wasnt that sleepy outside of the old town in May. Seemed like a sizable bustling town. But once you cross into the old town, totally different. Same in Cegli.

I’m in Bari now so re-reading this terrific report. I have to apologize for my off-base comment about LE ZIE being still good! I was way off track, given your poor meal, and didi not realize until I re-read your comments. It was a good, rustic place when we were there about 15 years ago but sounds as if it’s gone on a steep downhill slide. So please ignore my comment up above!! (even back then, we shared the dining room with two large groups of tourists)
