thanks! i was entering “trader joe’s,”
somehow that has worse results, unless you specify “in title”
Is that the one with potato and dried basil in the ingredients list? Remember it being awful.
Yea for the Nuts about Rosemary mix. Nice variety. I wish the almonds were blanched (or fewer) though.
No dried basil or potato.
It’s relatively new, same jar shape as the lemon pesto.
Over toast for a quick lunch.
Not sure where you are located and ots, but in Greenwich CT. there’s a great French bakery- Raphael’s excellent croissants and breads , and everything from there is excellent
We will not purchase again. Kind of one note and not the freshest item we have ever had.
Heading to Costco in the next week or so (coffee run), so I’ll look for their version.
My college kid bought and liked it. I haven’t tried it yet.
I threw the leftovers away.
YAY they have in stock the chocolate covered figs and also the addictive Hot Honey Popcorn!
Our TJs was out of the Dutch Griddle pancakes we like so I tried the Silver Dollar ones. BIG MISTAKE. Tiny, thin, no flavor!!!’ Worse than MEH.
Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onion Ravioli: MYEAH
Kind of a pain to cook: They floated from the start, so I had to stand over the pot and continually push them back down. But they cook really quickly, just three minutes, so that’s kind of a plus.
Texture: Tender pasta, cheesy filling. I prefer a slightly thicker shell with just a bit more bite, but that’s a minor deduction.
Taste: The goat cheese flavor is quite mild, and the onion is very sweet. I decided, prior to trying anything, to serve them with some jarred vodka sauce that I had in the cabinet. This was a mistake; the combined mild and somewhat-sweet sauce plus these fairly-sweet ravioli was too much sweet. I think these could work much better with a pesto or something like that, maybe with a small squeeze of lemon or a dash of vinegar. They need something to balance out the richness and sweetness and tomato isn’t going to do well in that role.
I’m willing to try these one more time, but I wasn’t 100% pleased overall with my first shot at this product.
Yeah, I think I found them weirdly sweet as well. And goat cheese is too mild to balance it out. Maybe if they used a stronger (or older) goat cheese vs chèvre?
I would just do butter and parm, like I do for my favorite, the lemon ravioli.
We really liked these with some Mezze Marinara, basil and parm. They made it through the boil about as well as any of the TJs raviolis.
Your kid’s name isn’t “Mikey” is it?
Big YUK for the Sweet & Spicy Rice Crackers. Weird flavors.
Yeah, I didn’t like those either.
Morning coffee was a little nicer today since I had my first RABITOS ROYALE of the season. Don’t forget to stock up before they’re gone.
