Tarragon, cilantro & other herbs - why are they so difficult to grow?

“Poor-quality oranges.”

LOL! But isn’t it considered a dwarfing rootstock?

Yes, it’s not only dwarfing; it adds resistance to colder soils and root rots. I’ve got a bunch of seedlings which are approaching grafting size. I want to propagate my magroot lime and that’s the under stock which will be used.

Calling these fruits oranges is misleading. Even Latin/scientific names can be misleading: Capsicum chinense did not come from China; it’s a published mistake. All Capsicums originated in the Americas. The Portuguese brought Capsicums to the eastern countries. Still, C. chinense prevails!

I have a trifoliata rootstock that used to have a Buddha’s Hand grafted to it, but the top froze. The bottom soldiered on and keeps bearing a couple of big old grapefruit-sized fruits with 3/4 inch thick pith and sour, bitter, pulp. It’s so hardy I can’t bring myself to kill it. The makrut lime did the same thing, only it was on Flying Dragon rootstock. That whole thing froze. It was an awful winter, got down to 17 degrees in my yard.
