I think the Hide you went to was Hide Sushi on Sawtelle, rather than the Sushi Hide in this report, which opened fairly recently I believe. In fact, (probably to avoid confusion!) I see that this Sushi Hide has been recently renamed to Sushi Takeda. I would change the title if I could 
Re: Sawtelle - I didn’t get to that area on this trip but on a previous visit a few years ago I did have some tsukemen at Tsujita that was quite good.
