We’re doomed
Ever since ShopRite switched to Bowl & Basket milk it doesnt last for me. I quit buying it.
This happens way too often, somebody that has no business being in the self check line because they are clueless. Today a lady had an ass/buttload of coupons tying up the helper while another shopper and myself wait for over rides.
Just get in the regular line, please.
I stopped buying the Stop and Shop half and half. It tastes sour.
And I find that Aldi chocolate milk doesn’t seem to last very long.
Is it just that something has changed in how milk products are processed?
I don’t know. But my land o lakes half and half is just fine
I hate when my DH grocery shops for staples - he’s welcome to do a run for fun stuff and splurges from Trader Joe’s.
The birds got us last evening. Poop everywhere. You could hear them landing on the car. It was carwash city today, never again are we going there in the evening.
Do you have Promised Land milk up there? It’s expensive but the chocolate goes down like velvet.
Is the eggnog good?
I think I’ve had eggnog a couple of times in my life years ago so I’m not sure.
I was going to suggest if you have a Braums in your area to buy milk there. It’s the only milk my husband will drink. One gallon lasts at least 2 weeks and is always good to the last drop. But after further research, to insure freshness, Braums only opens up shop within a 300 mile radius of their main dairy operation in Tuttle, OK. Think I’m probably the only person on this board who has access to this store.
Don’t you just love annoying environmentally protected bird species like grackles. An upscale neighborhood in Dallas was under attack a few years ago and there was nothing they could do about it except sit back and watch in horror. Smart birds.
Curbside has completely fixed this problem for us. We each add things to the cart and run through it together adding, subtracting, and subbing before pulling the trigger on a time slot.
Our local McDonald’s has dozens of vultures that sit in the trees behind their parking lot by the trash bins. No fools, they.
Must be mighty slim pickings up there if vultures are hanging around staring at a McDonald’s dumpster. Down here only blackbirds/crows do that, waiting on the occasional french fry. Vultures and buzzards rule the roost. Dead skunks, opossums, armadillos on the side of the road. Crows don’t stand a chance. There’s a pecking order and they all know it.
We have Turkey vultures in my hood on the regular. At least seasonally. Most seasons. I think it has to do with the air currents, the back roads, and the open fields. We have hawks as well, but they are much more endearing.
I’ve actually seen wild flying turkeys in the greater Sacramento area. On a busy street - it was so unexpected to see them.
Here in Jersey we have quite a variety of wild turkeys. Mostly of the “jive” breed, @seal & @gcaggiano just to name a few!
