Funny I haven’t had a patty melt in years, but had one in Tahoe this past weekend - the marble rye is a nice touch.

Haha just posted, I only made it to the 29th and had a beer, but nothing since. Nothing like a cold beer after a full day on the slopes.

It was four on five but we had the advantage.

How was French laundry ?

It was fine.

Seemed rather perfunctory; menu needs a more imaginative overhaul. Old standby’s still dominate (i.e. oysters and pearls, coffee and donuts, etc.)

Service was professional, perhaps even congenial.

B Patisserie - so consistent, still killing it.
Passion fruit kouign Amanda, passion orange guava cake, grapefruit yuzu tart.

I really like their egg salad tartine.

Good lemon tart too

Ooh will have to give it a try. I always get a baguette as well - $2.75, they really are a bargain compared to other high end bakeries in SF considering the quality.

Their sandwiches at B on the Go are great as well.

B Patisserie monthly special garlic butter kouign aman. I had my reservations but like most everything at B this was delicious. Sweet glaze with savory garlic and butter. Who’d have thought.
