These was my theme song a few months ago lol.
Not about the bartender, per se, but a poignant reflection on nightlife. You get your money’s worth at his concerts, with some of the band and backup singers performing when he takes a break. This song ended the concerts I’ve attended.
In contrast, there’s Belly Up to the Bar, Boys, from The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
Many decades ago Mickey Gilley scored a hit about closing time. Times are different now, though while public vocabulary may be more judicious, the observed social effect might not have changed as much.
