Had a good banh khot ($15) at Quán Ngon, a food stall at the Grand Century Shopping Mall. It had crisp shattering edges and a delicate custardy center. I wish there was more shrimp, but overall it was a unique and delicious version. Also had a good one a couple weeks ago ($19) at Gao Viet Kitchen in San Mateo which tasted more substantial with bigger shrimp, topped with mung bean and was more doughy.
Any other recommendations for a good Banh Khot I need to try?
