I was just at Fish in Sausalito, and I got my usual excellent shrimp Louie. I would have gotten the crab, but the price was too high ($42) for me. The place is wonderful otherwise.

From the photo above, I think that’s what Swan charges now for Crab Salad … $42. I haven’t been since before 2019. I think they close pretty early now, too.

I was back in Polk gulch today to run an errand and went back to Swan for lunch. I got there at 11am and there were about ten people or so in line. This time it took me over an hour to get in 
. Get there early if you don’t want to wait that long.
I had a dozen West Coast littleneck clams ($15) which were cold and fresh and sweet.
And also a combination salad ($37) that had Dungeness crab, large sweet prawns, and little shrimp, all on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce. It is quite large and worth the price. I had it with a side of Louie dressing. They also had a vinaigrette with crab fat, I might give that a try next time.

Eating good!!! Not many folks appreciate the beauty of raw clams on the half.
Seafood salad, some sourdough and a cold one or two. Perfect lunch!
