I had a late lunch at Nojo today.
AJI FRY ($6)
I had the aji fry / breaded and deep fried horse mackerel to start, which was very good. The fish was meaty and it had a nice crunchy coating. There was some tartar sauce that had minced boiled egg in it, I think it was the same sauce as for the nanban chicken.
DRY SPICY GROUND CHICKEN TOSSED NOODLE ($19.00)
Flat noodles topped with spicy ground chicken, nira chives, cilantro, red onion, shredded nori, bonito flakes, toasted sesame, dashi egg【 NO BROTH】
I tried something new this time, a soup-less noodle dish that had flat wheat noodles, a spicy ground chicken topping, and lots of vegetables in cilantro, raw red onion, and garlic chives, along with a soft boiled egg. This was good, kind of like a mazemen. I liked the noodles, and the ground chicken topping was flavorful. I think it would have been better if the cilantro was chopped up rather than whole.
Mixed up.
Egg - soft but not runny.
I also had a bowl of miso soup ($5) which was fine.
