Question about Old Overholt Rye Whiskey...

I haven’t tried it myself, but this is what the Death & Co. book says about it:

Old Overholt Kentucky Straight Rye: Like Rittenhouse, Old Overholt is a rye, but the two couldn’t be more different. Overholt is soft and creamy, with a stony, almost dusty nose that seems to last forever. It loves being matched with fruit, especially grapefruit and raspberries, and lends itself particularly well to infusions, including our workhorse chamomile-infused rye. We use this rye so much at Death & Co that it’s earned the nickname Old Overpour.

And a recipe for a classic Ward 8 cocktail from the book that uses it (non-chamomile-infused):

WARD 8
2 OUNCES OLD OVERHOLT RYE
½ OUNCE LEMON JUICE
½ OUNCE ORANGE JUICE
½ OUNCE SIMPLE SYRUP
1 TEASPOON POMEGRANATE MOLASSES
Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a coupe. No garnish.
