Traffic has been horrendous lately. It can take an hour to travel 10 km/6 miles in Toronto lately.
It took me 55 minutes to travel 10 km/ 6 miles from The Gardiner Expressway and Jameson to Donlands and O’Connor yesterday afternoon.
The first 150 km I drove took 2 h, the 40 km stretch from Oakville to Jameson took 1 h, and the last 10 km/6 m took another 55 minutes.
3 h 55 min to travel 200 km/ 120 miles, which is a 2 h 25 minute drive when there is no significant traffic.
Richmond Hill to North York is also slow, even though they aren’t that far apart.
I used to drive to Markham for dim sum or duck 6 or 8 times a year when I lived at Yonge and the 401.
I haven’t been to Markham, Richmond Hill, or Scarborough to eat since 2018, and that’s mostly because of the traffic.
