Brought a visiting Canadian friend for a quick lunch at Restoran Pusako today, as he didn’t want anything Chinese or Western/Continental.
His lunch plate (clockwise from top): beef rendang, cassava leaves (daun singkong), curried ox’s tendon (gulai tunjang), curried ox-tripe (gulai babat), curried chicken drumstick (gulai ayam), chilied eggplant (terong balado), crispy beef with chilis (dendeng balado) and potato croquette (perkedil).
My lunch plate (clockwise from top): beef rendang, fried tempe, perkedil, daun singkong, dendeng balado, curried chicken liver (gulai ati ayam), terong balado, gulai tunjang, and hard-boiled egg with chilis (talua balado).
He cleaned out his plate.
