Pearl is one of my favorite restaurants in SF. Great cocktails, beautiful space, professional but casual service, consistently delicious food. Seems to fly under the radar for some reason, maybe because it’s kind of in a residential location.
Coastal scrub - refreshing gin based cocktail
Halibut crudo with strawberries, chilis and herbs - great summery combination
Warm acme bread with sea salt sprinkled butter - the little details count
Seared scallops with spaetzle, corn and pickled onion - perfectly cooked scallops, not sure the spaetzle added anything
Rigatoni with lamb ragu - quite rich and a bit over salted, pasta was perfectly al dente
I guess I forgot to take a picture of the Chicory Caesar salad, which remains one of my favorite restaurant salads.
