Pastrami at Barbecue places

I haven’t tried this place in Atlanta, but they have pastrami on the menu.

I’m now leaning to a grammatical differentiation. If you’re just calling it “chili” it’s with an “I”; if you’re specifying the type of chile used in the dish (“green chile”), the “E” would be more appropriate. I’m kindof rationalizing here, but this would explain your experience and satisfying my dormant OCD.
