Thanks for the info about reservations. I’ll keep that in mind.
So an ambiguous social media post from Village Social (that I can’t currently find) hinted at a sister restaurant opening in Pleasantville by the train station. Does anyone have any info about this?
Edit-- ok, it looks as though they bought Iron Horse and will be renaming it. Not sure if it is currently open?
Yes, it’s the Iron Horse and I don’t think it’s open yet. They also bought the former Via Vanti at the Mt. Kisco train station and that will be another Locali!
There is another Village Social in the works in Rye…
I’m really curious about the new place in Pleasantville! That’d be even closer than Mt. Kisco and seems like parking may be easier.
For sure parking will be better. You have the whole train station!! Parking at VS in MK is a challenge, to say the least!!
One time my husband dropped me off at Village Social while he went to get a space. 20 minutes later, he finally walked in, looking very flustered… So yes, a challenge for sure!
They have their new winter menu now at VS. The fish stew was an enormous portion with shrimp, mussels, and fish, and a delicious enormous butter drenched toasted crouton with a rouille-like sauce/spread. The rabbit pasta sadly was extremely spicy (not noted on the menu) so I couldn’t eat it but my husband devoured it. Desserts are still boring.
Haven’t been in a while. Need to go back.
I had lunch here the other day… got the salmon burger which was fantastic. Mostly fish and very little filler. Service was slow because they had a large office lunch function going on. No room for dessert!
We went last week. It was really good. Honestly, since Pub Street doesn’t take reservations either, and I prefer the menu at VS, last minute, unless we’re down that way, I’ll do VS.
Lunch at Pubstreet usually isn’t an issue. Dinner during the week is usually not a problem. Fridays and Saturdays if you get there before 6 usually isn’t an issue either but not everyone likes eating that early.
It doesn’t bother me, but I prefer the menu at VS. I’m not big on fish.
Gotcha.
