Check the refrigerator case on the left as you walk in.
@lambretta76 Confirmed that there are small and large containers of the carrot salad in the refrigerator case on the left as you walk in (along with many other types).
Finally tried the plov – they have three kinds at one of the new hot bars in addition to several varieties of kababs. Very tasty, and I liked the ability to get a small container vs the large ones at the plov station.
They had several stews as well; the lamb was excellent, and the beef was very good (slightly different in flavor, more oniony and less spiced).
Also tried the ryazhenka (“baked” kefir) at the urging of someone who saw me vacillating between it and plain kefir, and it’s delicious!
Finally made it here. SUPER overwhelmed!
I had two kinds of meat pastry. Pastry was good on both, but meat filling a bit bland.
I had a beef plov as well. I’ve never had plov before so I have no idea how it’s supposed to taste, but it was quite good. A lot of sweet roasted carrots involved.
After eating these at a bus stop like an animal, I went back in and spied honey cake! I was so excited and bought some, but it was not delicious, so I reluctantly threw half of it away.
I, too, have eaten at the bus stop outside that Tashkent.
Hard not to be overwhelmed even on repeat visits!
Oh, the image didn’t show automatically - I see now
Hottest ticket in town!
What happens when the bus stop is full. Is it on Resy?
Very good.
Tock.
No but you might find the picnic tables around the corner in the park on there.
What’s wrong with the cake?
Try the lurid green cake that they claim is made with pistachio. It’s good, but I thought it was expensive; a big slice costs about $9.
