I LOVE living in Houston.

A new Sichuan place is opening at Briar Forest and Eldridge in the Energy Corridor. This looks convenient for Lambsy but of course is across the Great Divide from Sr. Oysters.

Looks intriguing.

Eater Houston article.
Wula Buhuan website and menu.

That’s fun and fills a hole in the area. Although Pepper Twins recently opened at City Centre.

I gueeess I could take Briar Forest eschewing the hated I-10 altogether.

Somebody check this place out so I’ll know if it’s worthwhile to journey so far west.

Indeed it does. I just checked out the menu and there is so much I’d like to try.

Has it been annexed by Katy or Richmond yet? I think Houston should make a pre-emptive strike and incorporate both of them before they gobble up everything to the west including San Antone. Sorry Jaymes.

WOW that all looks so nice and like it would be good, do you have any recommendations to where I could find a place that would sell something like those pictures?

YALL! This is so cute. We seem to have attracted our very FIRST troll!:clap:

Well I crossed it twice in the last two days for what I hope will be a relatively minor medical procedure on Monday morning. Some poking and prodding and quite a bit of fluid extraction. No food, but I checked out places post surgery feeding.

What places?

It might just be lowest common denominator oysters in cheese sauce at Pappadeaux. Easy off easy on the despised I-10.

If you mean the Pappadeaux on I-10 just inside the Beltway, and if you mean easy off if you plan on stopping on your way back from the STD clinic in Katy, I suggest other choices. The feeder road off of I-10 to the Beltway is under construction and down to one lane.

It added about ten minutes to my trip today.

HTH.

Yes that one but I wants me some oysters. It might be damn the torpedoes, full speed, I mean slow speed ahead. Rig for silent running, close all water tight doors and compartments, prepare for depth charges, take her down to 60 fathoms.

I’ve met you in real life but can’t remember your name. Is it Gort or Klatu or just Carpenter?

Do you have any bright ideas?

There are tens of thousands STD clinics in Katy. Naturally I’m going to the best one since the insurance is paying for it minus a small co-pay.

Because you’ll probably be needing one I suggest Dr. Mglmfpvf, he’s not from the US but is considered the best in his field.

Y’all. Oysters in cheese sauce? Deaux has good oysters on the half, but they cost you. I had their lobster mac n cheese at the airport last year and fell in love, but it’s off the menu now. The Deaux you attended is a “test kitchen” as is the Sito’s next door. They have different stuff here than other mundane Deauxs. If I had to have oysters 'round those parts, it would be that place probably. The Liberty Kitchen up the way at Bunker Hill has them, as does the Goode Co. Seafood as you know.

Hey! I heard Boudreaux closed on the north side I-10? I went there a couple of times and wasn’t impressed but it always seemed busy.

If you actually are seeking medical care from Dr. Mglmfpvf, there’s always Orleans in Katy for crawbugs too.

It’s oysters Baton Rouge and they’re delicious.

Speaking of mudbugs, are you still on for next Saturday?

Ok, parm sounds good. For some reason I was picturing yellow cheese. That’s the only line I would draw for yellow cheese probably.

No construction, no problem, great oysters and bread.
