Solid, not something I would go out of my way for.

Makes for good cold pizza the day after, especially as a hangover cure. At least that’s why my friends tell me …

thc = total hangover cure

then pizza

well, that’s what my friends tell me

We all need good friends.

How much (or how frequently) pizza do you eat???

at least a few times a month sometimes more!
what’s your spot ?

Partner and I love convenience, so, when we get a pizza, it’s usually Prime (which is like a 5 min drive from where we live). B/f Prime opened, we were getting pies from Santa Monica Pizza Kitchen (quite a respectable white slice).

Upper Crust recently opened close to us. It’s… fine. And since it’s walkable, we feel a tiny bit less guilty about the calories (although the walk, though short, it not pleasant).

The food we had (incl the pizza) at Osteria del Fornaio the first time was pretty good. The pizza was on the “lighter” side. Don’t recall what we had the second time, but we were a lot less pleased with it (and haven’t returned).

If traffic weren’t an issue, I’ve really like Pizza Wagon (Sherman Oaks). We also tried Gorilla Pies (Valley Village?) once, and I very much enjoyed it.

For more gourmet pizza, we like Milo and Olive in Santa Monica. Ghisallo in Santa Monica has gotten really good reviews, but we have yet to try it.

Nice. There’s an upper crust by my office in BH. I love the value on slices they are 2 slices really, but it’s a bit greasy and stiff crusty for me and I don’t tend to have pizza on my “me” time too much cuz i have it so often with the kids. I don’t say no of course! Plus mulberry is across the street and while that’s a bit pricy even for slices, it’s really good stuff - the crust is lighter than prime and i think it comes together as one inhalable slice better tho the toppings aren’t as good. Generally plain cheese pizza works for me. I haven’t tried any of those other spots you mentioned except milo and olive which is tasty (been a while). Heard great things about ghisallo. I think the owner’s kid is that jyn issac bread maker that we really love. Ronan is a fun place that makes tasty pies and cocktails if you’re ever feeling that up in hollywood area.

and we love convenience too - the point and click approach to having a prime pizza appear is really hard to beat! big fan of their pizza too. Solid A minus. I also like that it’s one box, not a bunch of containers (like other delivery food) which makes it a bit more manageable for us - it’s also more affordable. Also like the basil (which u can get on the side) no charge and extra sauce no charge. We put leftover slices in lunchboxes too. The prime customer service is great too…given that we may have ordered a hundred pies from them over the years, things happen sometimes … i had an urgently needed pie get lost in cheviot hills miles from our home and they were so cool and fixed it, comped it, everything. They are also reliable for big orders for kids bday parties and such.

Please do post some of your pizza pics – as you can see it’s a fun hobby of mine!

Then you should try La Sorted’s “Mamba” Cheese Pizza, names after No. 8 and 24 (RIP).

How come I didn’t know that! All these years I’ve been celebrating my special day without pizza. The crab dinner tonight was excellent. Pizza for dinner next February 9 fer sure! Maybe I can drum up Albatross Pizza’s clam pizza from days of yore.

nope

looks good how was it

I still haven’t found one square slice pizza place none that is as good as the 1980s mall style Sicilian Mr pizza kind of slices. Light as a pepperoni cheese and sauce cloud can get really. I like golden boy best in this category west coast. It’s not gourmet. Damn right.
