You are very welcome, Erica
Yes, Germany is famous for its jams and marmalades, and it makes me a bit sad that I never take advantage of their sheer abundance at breakfast buffets bc I prefer a salty breakfast

Jen…I thought my remaining travel time would be occupied by travel to my beloved southern Italy and Spain…and now Vienna is on the list, as well as more of Germany!!
I have to investigate those vitamins that will supposedly add years to our lives!!!
I was once in Vienna but back when my guide was the Europe on $5 a day!!! I remember most the fantastic museums. Yes, time to return, if only for the tafelspitz!!! I want to also thank you for your immense amount of contributions here, and before, on Chowhound…let’s keep this site going…why does it not get the traffic that CH used to get…I try to spread the word but not having much success so far.
Ridiculous…I posted the Spatenhaus dinners more times than I can count but neglected to post pics of our favorite dinner, at FRIESINGER HOF! So, here is their fantastic beef consommé, the roast duck, and the pumpkin gnocchi.
Plus, photo of that spicy wurst from the Viktualenmarkt stall:
And a few more assorted food photos from our wonderful five days in Munich:
That abundance of Steinpilze and Pfifferlinge makes me miss Berlin something fierce!
