McDonald's in General

It’s meant to be tasty enough, easy to chew, and comforting, right?

Likely not as healthy as most baby food, tho, but I wouldn’t know  I’ve only ever bought baby food for my clients.

Nursing sick cats: Gerber [various meats] baby food. There’s always a stash of puréed chicken in itty bitty jars here.

Like at our country store where, while doors are now automatic, one checker calls me “Darlin’”. And another forgets to charge me for a bag.

I can’t remember the variety precisely but look out for changed recipes that contain onion powder :smirk:

The baby food diet was popular with a couple classmates when I was in 12th grade. :joy: (sadly, one of them was bulimic.)

D-i-L followed the school of “feed them food when and that they can feed themselves”. → 20% went into the babe, 70% on its outside, 10% surrounding spaces. Jackson Pollack three times a day.

Truth.

There was a Mediterranean restaurant in Last Chance Gulch that served both done to perfection. That was 20+ years ago, tho…

:eyes: well, I love onions, so they should too, amirite?
I guess I’ll have to see if there’s another brand of puréed meat baby food.

I just need to put this here.

Apparently this is a McRib, with a Filet-O-Fish, a McChicken and two hamburgers.

Can’t say this doesn’t repulse me, but then I can’t say it doesn’t intrigue me either.

:eyes:. Why? Just WHY?

Why not?
People always need new mountains to conquer.
Would it be more appealing if it were a divey New Jersey diner?
A FF turducken.

I guess right around pre-COVID-ish so 2019-20 iirc (Covid has really screwed up my time sense if not all of yours) there was a fad among MLB sports stadiums’ food vendors trying to come up with the most outrageous burger or sandwich or w/e.

I think that fad was before and after Covid.

I think it started the day local county fairs started serving food.

Apologies because I think I’ve posted this before: I am a small 68 year-old-woman who has 3 joint replacements (two of them in their 25th year), who looks obviously “elderly” and possibly “fragile”. I always hold doors open for everyone at stores of all kinds, and thank people who hold them open for me.

Boomer here. I still hold doors open for everybody, and I say thank you to everybody, too. Who are the most surprised? College students.

Also boomer, older then Madrid but like this close ][

We live in a disabled/elderly retirement community. Some 200 units spread out across 4 buildings (not equally). All have airlock entry ways with the outer door always open & inner always locked. Both doors powered but inner can be a PITA to open with your key. (gotta jiggle it just right :rage:)

There’s 2 easy chairs facing the door so you can see who’s coming. If it’s a walker person or loaded w/ grocery bags I’ll jump up & hit the auto-open plate but otherwise not-- even though I move fairly well a non-walker person will get it open just as I get there. Actually had a lady thank me for letting her open it. Was one of her peeves 'cause old folks w/ minor mobility probs would struggle to get up.
