Try buying an all electric heat pump to replace your gas furnace, and most companies will suggest keeping the gas furnace to have as a backup.

I am surprised they didn’t suggest buying an electric heat pump as a backup to the backup gas furnace.

Don’t bother.

It’s just a fancy, bigger, and more expensive version of this below. Which is all too common, and all to inadequate of a substitute for gas vis-a-vis wok-fu.
