Took it really easy on the last day.

Soong Kee Beef Noodles (86, Jalan Tun H S Lee, 50050 Kuala Lumpur)

The Sin Kiew Yee Shin beef noodles place was always packed whenever I passed by - maybe because it is such a tiny restaurant? So on the last day I decided to stop into this beef noodle place which was much larger.

1 small order of noodles with minced beef and 2 teh. The teh was so good we got another one. Total for 3 tehs and 1 small noodle came to RM 18.20. The noodles were good but the beef mince was so rich I had to add quite a bit of the vinegary chilli sauce from the bottle on the table. Ideally, I would have loved some picked green chillies to go with the beef noodles.

My husband and I were both a bit perplexed by the fact that we seemed to get so full so quickly. The food was quite rich, so this might have contributed.

I was also back at Ming Ren Xuan for lunch a fortnight ago when I was down in KL. My lunch then also consisted of the steamed prawn dumplings with truffles, the bamboo charcoal buns with BBQ pork, and carrot dumplings with minced meat & mushrooms you had:

But we also ordered the bean-curd cubes with truffle salad cream dip:

And the crispy rice rolls with assorted seafood:

All very good. Definitely up there among the top 3 dim sum spots in KL.
