also, remember that grocery stores are open in the a.m. (though probably not at 5:00 a.m.) and offer many very good, prepared foods. Even sushi.

Due to time constraints, we ended up doing a walking tour around our hotel in Ginza. We still ran out of time and had to race with all our luggage to make it to Haneda Airport on time. And sadly our flight back wasn’t a true ANA flight but a codeshare with United Airlines.

oh bummer, sorry! no food at all on the walking tour? And where did you head from there? At least you got to see some of Tokyo!

By walking tour, I mean we walked to and ate at three bakeries/cafes, then ended up at a standing only sushi restaurant in a Ginza shopping plaza, and then headed straight to the airport.

excellent! i love those stand-up sushi places, we ate at one in the Shinjuku train station.
