Or have eaten there and recognized it
La Padrona?
Standard Italian has a notable selection of well-presented martinis by Jackson Cannon (recommend the olive oil washed one). The servings at Pammy’s are on the small side so their 3-course prix fixe is not overly heavy (recommend their red peppercorn crusted Pekin (not to be confused with Peking) duck breast.) Mooncusser is about to get Michelin recognition (they said they were invited to the ceremonies to be held on Tuesday) so you might want to jump on that. However they tend to have bold flavors, so if you’re looking for less adventurous or more subdued flavor combinations, you might prefer a place like Nine.
Thanks all for the recs – we only ended up having one unplanned meal slot which led us to Bar Enza. It was great!
Glad you liked it. I’ve posted elsewhere of a party I threw there – that was great, too, the arrangements and especially the food. Since then, at my suggestion, a friend who was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences a few weeks ago had her celebration dinner there. I gather it was a success. (We couldn’t go, because we go almost nowhere these days, but we did have them to brunch the morning of the induction with Mamaleh’s bagels & fish, coupled with Diwali snacks from Bombay Brunch. Hey, gather we our multi-culti while we may.)
How were the martinis?
Sounds like a great celebration!
I did but indulge and Aunt had no complaints.
