How do you negotiate a buffet?

to those who are staring at the food and not knowing what to get - just walk around them and get what you want to eat. There’s no law that says that you have to stand in line behind someone who’s indecisive.

And that goes for salad bars, too!

I have had two buffets in Vegas but didn’t find them particularly good. One I believe was the xmas eve buffet, about $50 -60 about 10 years ago. I still remember the tasteless king crab legs. The other was a ‘French’ food buffet in one of the hotels, most likely Paris Hotel, on the strip. About $30. Nothing was French. Didn’t attempt another buffet there afterwards.

Any recommendations?

The Wynn buffet and the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan are very good. Wynn has king crab too, which I prefer over snow crab (I don’t remember about Wicked Spoon).

Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s is an excellent high end buffet – they have lobster, oysters and caviar, plus king and dungeness crab, whereas most buffets have snow crab only. Last time I went, they had duck and scallops too.

+1 on bacchanal. The brisket carving station there is really good too. In a sea of endless food, I definitely like that meat!

A quick tip for any vegas drinkers…ask the server/bartender for any “all you can drink” specials at any of the breakfast buffets. Sometimes they are like 12 bucks. If you have been up all night gambling or want some bloody marys early, this is a way to get the day started…or ended lol.
