No one had sex in the shower. That was the highlight one year. Thank goddess the host has two bathrooms.
Aw. What a waste of time and energy.
I have grudges from 5th grade. Looking at you, Nancy Cohen.

My family has a long tradition of what my sister calls Greek grudges. Like when my mother was pregnant with me, her doctor prescribed rest, and so she missed her cousinâs funeral. The cousinâs mother wouldnât speak to my mother, wouldnât allow her in her house, didnât come to our house for about 20 years. This is apparently common in the Balkan countries. Family feuds from 100 or more years ago still persist. I try to avoid them, except for what that so-and-so did to me that time.
Oh, my.
I see that Natascha and me joking with each other have offended the mods and our posts have ben removed. Season of goodwill over then?
I missed the beginning, middle, and end of that season, apparently
I hear ya. A one-off mistake with accountability taken is one thing; a consistent pattern of behavior is another.
My SO says I have âIrish Alzheimerâs:â I forget everything but grudges.
Amazing how my post about celebrating new beginnings turned into a love fest of negativity and hard feelings.
Jan 1 isnât even over yet and Iâm already exhausted.
Lordt.
Try AppalachiaâŚ
Life is too short to hold grudges. You can live and let go. If someone is toxic, they donât need to stay in your life, even if they are family. But, holding on to negative emotions is mental real estate I donât want to yield to bad actors.
Now, getting back to NYE - BF and I managed to make it to midnight. He capped off with some Malort, because what doesnât kill you makes you stronger. I killed two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and poured a glass of Pinot Noir for bed at 12:30am. We watched Shadow of the Vampire and a bunch of YouTube videos, capping off with a feed of the ball dropping live in NYC about 2 minutes before on ABC.
I fell asleep to this video. Itâs probably my favorite for sleeping:
Have you tried Green noise?
I have not!
We always have our white noise app running on an ipad at night. I prefer the brown noise.
Also, lovely sounding NYE.
BF and I are split on night time sleep needs. He likes the TV on and fully running some program or another. I prefer no noise and no extraneous light (I also use ear plugs due to his sleep apnea). That video is what weâve determined is a reasonable compromise!
My ideal bedroom is pitch black and dead silent.
Same here!!
Might depend on the city or townâs by-laws.
