The team from 102 House recently went back to Foshan to do a week-long “private kitchen” back at their old digs. I took the train up from Hong Kong for dinner. We were a table of 6 and everyone left fuming.
It will undoubtedly be my worst meal of 2025. The ingredients they gave us were of poor quality - especially the seafood - and the execution was lazy and sloppy. It’s downright insulting that we were served dishes of this quality.

A number of people reached out to me privately after my post to relay similar sentiments regarding both the original Foshan location as well as their current Shanghai restaurant that holds 2 Michelin stars and ranked #29 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.
I will not bother with them again.
