This guy is hungry. So he decides to kill himself. Hey, what can you do, it’s opera. From back in the day when opera was arguably more entertaining and less stuffy, namely the 1600s.

This clip has no costumes, no scenery, just singing - but in the actual opera the guy is on stage alone anyway, so it hardly makes a difference.
