New Jersey has its own thang going on in the kitchen, and if we’re going to talk about great American food, a Jersey visit is the bomb.
I could not resist the lure of the Bobfather, and now that I have visited Family Tavola in Little Silver, I have seen the photos on the wall and I get it. It was a pure pleasure for me to stop by.
South of Jersey, I don’t get a finely dusted calamari, or stuffed long hots, or anything remotely like Chicken Valdostana, all pictured here:
The Valdostana was outrageous with so many things going on. Tender meat, melty cheese, a substantial crust, spinach, and a marsala sauce that ties it all together. I got it served over cavatelli which was awesome.
I loved everything about being here. Thanks to all those who contributed to this thread.
