New Jersey has its own thang going on in the kitchen, and if weâre going to talk about great American food, a Jersey visit is the bomb.
I could not resist the lure of the Bobfather, and now that I have visited Family Tavola in Little Silver, I have seen the photos on the wall and I get it. It was a pure pleasure for me to stop by.
South of Jersey, I donât get a finely dusted calamari, or stuffed long hots, or anything remotely like Chicken Valdostana, all pictured here:
The Valdostana was outrageous with so many things going on. Tender meat, melty cheese, a substantial crust, spinach, and a marsala sauce that ties it all together. I got it served over cavatelli which was awesome.
I loved everything about being here. Thanks to all those who contributed to this thread.

Kinda cool; ( I truly have no idea what Iâm talking about but my PIT (Protege In Training) @gcaggiano says this is something good.
We are now 2nd place on Google when searching:
âItalian restaurants in Point Pleasant Ni, only to semi -legendary: Spanoâs. ( amazing to be mentioned with them!! )
Not only that but we are # 2nd in âBest Italian Restaurants in Point Pleasant! Among, Spanoâs (again)! (the first place was an ad bot / doesnât count!

I Googled italian restaurants in point pleasant nj and I too get Spanoâs and Family Tavola in that order. And I have no history of searching for or visiting either restaurant (sorry!) so my results should not be biased.

Had dinner last night in Little Silver with my DW and oldest son. Havenât seen Bob since the hoedown in Howell. He was working hard last night. Eddie also! My DW ordered the crabcakes appetizer special which she said werethe best crabcakes she ever had and I had the pork chop special, which was delicious. My son ordered a square pizza with pepperoni and sweet sausage. My son and myself will be enjoying our leftovers this evening!
