We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Family Tavola. Thank you @NotJrvedivici for your hospitality and generosity🙏 We enjoyed sushi grade seared tuna pizza with house-made Asian slaw, pico de gallo, and avocado; surf n turf pizza with filet mignon, crab, and blue cheese; Cajun steak tips; stuffed long hot peppers with sausage and cheese; artichoke Francese. It all went great with a couple of excellent red blends.
There were tons of leftovers including some generous extras provided by the Bob-Father.
Can’t say I have ever tried that.
It was excellent, and very creative.

Thank you very much. Not only for the kind words but for taking the long trip down to experience the food. As I told you last night, I truly do hold your opinion in high regards, so thank you VERY much. Look forward to seeing you again. We are still a work in progress, but I hope you can see the direction we are headed.
FYI you or anyone who comes in, if you have any favorites or requests, I enjoy trying to surprise people with “specials” of their preference. You just need to give me a day or two to source special ingredients.

I found myself close enough to Family Tavola this week that I had a good excuse to pop by… At 4:30 or so there were drivers picking up delivery orders and a mom with a couple of young girls – very happy to see they’re doing that kind of business even on the early side!
I told @NotJrvedivici that I’ve been thinking about the Rocky Balboa pizza since we were there and that’s what I wanted but they didn’t have any in the case – so he had the kitchen make me a small one. Just as delicious as I remembered! And now I have some in the freezer for my next pizza emergency!

It is terrific! It’s a Detroit pizza with sausage, broccoli rabe, and hot peppers.

to try Family Tavola. My DW & I both ordered specials. Me: Clams, mussels, spinach & bacon in white wine lemon sauce over linguini. DW: Blackened Tuna over escarole & beans. Both entrees were excellent & a family style house salad was included. We’ll be back!
