The photo in this article is so nice I’m very tempted to try making it. It’s dark chocolate too :yum:

I just ordered a deep silicone mould. I’m now wondering if I can skip using coconut oil in the recipe. Will have a search on the internet for alternatives.

I still haven’t tried it, but there’s a couple places in San Francisco that are serving it like this - this is the second one I’ve seen.

Is the base chocolate sauce and pistachio cream? I can’t imagine eating more than a couple of spoons of that.

Yeah it looks enormous

It looks like there might be large chunks of fruit right down to the bottom of the cup? That might make it a bit less unhealthy and rich!

I tried to take a closer look and you’re right! The one in the middle def has strawberries in it, with what seems to be a giant mutant strawberry on top , and the two on the side look to have a banana poking out. At least I hope that’s a banana

Not sure how one would eat either of these concoctions. Maybe a bowl would be better suited.

My daughter is demanding one so I’ll try and report back (definitely splitting one).

It occurred to me that I could get some pre-made kadaifi from the Middle East Market, soften some chocolate in the microwave, and roll my own Dubai chocolate. I have the kadaifi, but I still have to get the chocolate.

And pistachio cream. Don’t forget the most important ingredient

Well dang, where would I find pistachio cream?

Italian deli, usually. Or online.

I’ve linked a recipe above where the pistachio cream is made from scratch.

I’m still pondering this recipe. I bought what is apparently deep silicone mould but to me it doesn’t look deep enough to make a bar of Dubai chocolate.

The one we got at the Turkish baklava place was less than an inch thick.

The Guardian article? It seems to me that the filling in the grocery store kadaifi is pretty much what they’re describing.

Yes! Isn’t there some faffing around with ground up pistachios, tahini and white chocolate?
