Inspired by the photo of your Elektra I had a browse online - most option including secondhand is significantly over £1000! I found a couple priced £720-820 but that’s still way over my budget.
I staggered into an hellaciously good deal. I was in an unpainted furniture store where we had gotten to know the owner. The machine was on one of the pieces. She said it was from her father, an Italian, who was moving to a much smaller place and did not have room for it. He was selling it for a song. It just happened to be a few days before my birthday. My wife insisted. Who was I to argue?
Another excellent lever machine that can usually be found for less is a La Pavoni.
