Personally, I don’t think it’s Tex-Mex. But I will repeat that, for my wife and I, it was far more reminiscent of the meal we had at, say, Cocina 88 in Guadalajara than any Tex-Mex food I’ve ever had . . . .

I could care less about the specific ingredients and their “authenticity”; I care more about HOW the food tastes, rather than WHAT is in the dish (e.g.: it doesn’t matter to me one whit if it’s Sriracha, Tabasco, or a hot sauce imported directly from Chiapas – as long as it’s tastes good, my taste buds will be happy).
